Austin Ato is the DJ producer from Scotland who makes colourful, pulsing dance records that playfully take influence from 90s house both deep and banging, old techno and even older disco…Everything with swing! A child of both Optimo and Slam, Austin Ato’s records and DJing combine his rhythmic and melodic sides. From the cut-up samples and jazzy live keys on his records for Classic and Phonica to the searing acid of “Get Madd” from his own label I Love Your Energy to his tribal drum workout remix of Groove Armada’s “I See U Baby” which blew up in summer 2025 and won the Best Track Of The Year award from Beatport and Spain’s Vicious Magazine. For Austin Ato it’s all about groove, energy and his music connecting to people in his DJ sets.
Austin’s DJing has taken him to clubs and festivals across the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia whilst his music has received huge DJ support from a spectrum of artists such as Honey Dijon, Derrick Carter, Seth Troxler, Paul Woolford, Ewan McVicar and so many more. Since 2023 he has operated his club residency I Love Your Energy at The Berkeley Suite in Glasgow and has platformed some of the best local DJs and welcomed Joe Goddard, Athens Of The North, Auntie Flo and more all under the I Love Your Energy banner.
