Glasgow based artist Brody James has began to steadily establish himself within the Scottish clubbing scene, playing at some of Scotlands most iconic venues including; La Cheetah, Tunnels, UNIT 51, Sneaky Pete’s, Mash House and Fubar to name a few. Co-Founder of Rendezvous Events, curating iconic nights across the country, Brody brings a dynamic and versatile collection of grooves. Brody’s sound is rooted in underground house and techno, but what truly defines it is personality and playfulness rather than adherence to a strict genre. Drawing heavily from deep house and classic Chicago and Detroit influences, his style is funky, groovy, and bass-forward, with a strong emphasis on swing and rhythm that makes his tracks and DJ sets feel loose, human, and alive. His approach is playful, cheeky, and unpredictable, effortlessly shifting from sexy and soulful moments to weird, quirky twists within the same set. Disco and funk, latin flavours, touches of acid, and experimental, slightly off-kilter textures all surface in his selections, often with a sense of not taking anything too serious. As a DJ, Brodys sets evolve with undulation, fueled by a love of digging for unexpected records - leftfield house cuts, odd vocals, and strange edits - blurring the line between house and techno without ever sounding rigid or formulaic. On the dancefloor, his sound feels warm, sweaty, and hypnotic, built on grooves that sneak up rather than hit all at once, creating a shared sense that the DJ is genuinely having fun and inviting the crowd into that mindset with him.
